Adirondack Health is a not-for-profit organization with a strong commitment to serving our region.
Adirondack Health offers a full range of medical and surgical services, in addition to primary care at five health centers. The main hospital is a 97-bed acute care facility located across from Lake Colby in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of New York. Adirondack Health is the largest healthcare provider in the six-million-acre Adirondack Park, serving the residents of five counties. Members of our medical staff are board certified in 25 specialties. We are seeking medical professionals who will appreciate the lifestyle of our unique region, and will value working with a team of exceptional medical professionals.
Our Community Benefit Program is designed to address specific health needs, with a focus on improving access to healthcare and increasing prevention through education. Our employees actively participate in Community Health Improvement initiatives designed to educate our stakeholders about important issues in healthcare and community health.
We offer a wide variety of free classes that focus on important issues such as cardiac disease, prenatal care, smoking cessation, CPR, diabetes and more. We host blood drives throughout the year and support flu clinics. Partnering with local high schools and colleges, we engage students interested in a healthcare career and offer them an opportunity to gain first-hand experience working in a hospital setting.
To help build a healthier community, we also partner with other area nonprofits with similar missions, such as St. Joseph's Addiction and Rehabilitation Center, High Peaks Hospice, North Country Life Flight, the U.S. Olympic Training Center and Mercy Care for the Adirondacks.
Our patients and residents are often our friends, our family members, our neighbors, and this deep community connection inspires us and drives us to provide excellent healthcare, close to home.
