Description
The Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center provides you with outstanding health care, trains America's future health care providers, and conducts important medical research. Health care services are provided at 6 locations, serving southwestern West Virginia, southeastern Ohio, and eastern Kentucky. Facilities include our Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington, and four community-based outpatient clinics in Lenore, W.Va ., South Charleston, W.Va .; Gallipolis, Ohio; and Prestonsburg, Kentucky. We also provide a Community Resource and Referral Center in Huntington, W.Va . The Vascular Surgeon will have clinical skills and experience in the full range of Surgical Vascular care. Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Provide direct patient care in outpatient clinic settings, inpatient units, cath lab, and operative care. Maintain professional competency, courtesy and flexibility and provide the necessary services of this specialty. Perform all aspects of Vascular Surgery within approved credentials and privileges. Participate in program planning, objectives, policies and standards essential to delivery of quality care. Participate in all aspects of the Vascular selection. Manage patient workload within available staffing, which may include support of mid-levels, student, and resident education. Document all clinical encounter consistent within established guidelines. Performance pay: Up 15K annually. Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday; 7:30am - 4:00pm. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting Whole Health is an approach to health care that empowers and equips people to take charge of their health and well-being and live their life to the fullest.
